A Show Down Under
Sometimes it is just not cost effective to exhibit abroad using a UK contractor. At Access Displays we take a different approach. It's obviously easier for the client to get the stand designed here and sort out the detail, but the stand itself can be built using local labour. This can save thousands in shipping costs provided it's handled correctly. At Access Displays we have built up and worked with many such overseas contractors. Because this relationship is two way (they do work for us and we do work for their clients) we know what they are technically capable of and how long things will take. Here's an example. Our client wanted to attend a show in Australia but was unsure how to go about it. The solution we came up with was to design a stand using our hire equipment, which we pre- built. We then sent a digital photograph of the finished stand together with working drawings to our contractor in Sydney. Because the client was flying their own equipment over anyway the stand components went along with it. The stand arrived in Sydney a week before the client and was picked up and built by our contractor without a hitch. Our contractor then even picked the client up from the airport and gave then a guided tour of the city before taking him to the exhibition.
