Sep 06' - Interbuild brought forward six months
Building and construction show, interbuild, has been brought forward six months from its original date of April 2008 TO 28th October – 1st November next year. The biennial event which attracts 44,436 visitors will also move into halls 3, 3a, 4 and 5 at Birmingham’s NEC for 2007, following a refurbishment according to organizers, Emap Construct. MD of Emap Construct, Ben Greenish, says the company has looked very closely at how best to take interbuild forward since becoming sole owners of the show in 2004, following a buyout from Montgomery Exhibitions. “Back in 1895, when interbuild started, and over a hundred years since, the event has been held in autumn. Our thinking that the show should be rescheduled to this time of year was confirmed by extensive research and consultation conducted recently within the industry. When asked about timing, autumn was by far the preferred choice, “he adds. A further change for 2007 is a decision to restrict the size of stands to 190 square metres, for companies to control exhibiting costs and eliminate the escalation of competitive stand sizing.
